Paul Ryan

Alan McMahon

Paul Ryan, 34 years, from Limerick, holds a Commercial Pilots License with a multi engine instrument rating and has over 400 hours of flying time. Fully qualified for the airlines, Paul plans to take up a cockpit seat with an airline in the near future.

Alan McMahon, 29 years, from Dublin, works as an IT Consultant for Dell Computers. Passionate about flying since childhood, Alan holds a Private Pilots License and has accumulated over 300 flight hours, including numerous trips around Australia and the United States.

Both pilots became good friends while learning to fly in Adelaide, Australia. They operate as an effective team in the cockpit - having flown together in Australia, Ireland and the USA. Passionate about aviation, they have long shared a dream to fly around the world.

World Flight 2003 is an opportunity to achieve their goals, in celebration of the Wright brothers’ first flight while raising funds to support the treatment of cancer - a global disease which has affected millions of lives around the world.
